I lived in the South East US (hot pink) until the age of 24 when I moved to California. I have family all over the US (purple) and travel whenever I can get away.

Panthers are the colloquial nickname for Leopards that are all black when in fact they are actually black with black spots!
It’s all about the direction of the fur.

road rage in the desert like madd max
I work Security for Wasteland Weekend. Its a week long Madd Max themed desert retreat. Think a smaller version of Burning Man. Thunder-dome, Movie Theater, Post Apocalyptic themed bars.
I have been named Sand Bear: Melter of Snowflakes! I was given these titles by my direct superiors - kinda feels like being named Kahleesee ... I'll take it.

Unlike most other desert parties, car shows, or music concerts (and Wasteland is all three), this one requires ALL attendees to be in costume (even staff members and journalists). The idea is to create a full-immersion effect, making festival goers feel like they’re inside a Mad Max-style movie for 5 days.
